Fishing has always been more than just catching fish — it’s about the experience, the challenge, and the moments that stay with you forever.
My fishing journey started in small streams and rivers fishing for trout, where I quickly learned how important stealth and presentation are. Over time, that passion grew from fishing out of an old canoe to eventually upgrading to larger boats equipped for serious trolling adventures.
One unforgettable moment came while fishing solo on Lake Michigan, landing an eighteen-pound King salmon from a canoe while nearby charter boats watched in disbelief. Experiences like that shaped not only my passion for fishing but also my desire to improve the fishing experience itself.
Years later, while taking my son fishing for brown trout, I noticed that changing the lure action manually during slower days significantly improved our success. That idea eventually became part of what inspired the VersaTroll.
Through years of testing and development, the VersaTroll evolved into an innovative fishing system capable of:

Today, I fish from an 1850 Crestliner Sportfish equipped with downriggers and advanced electronics, continuing to refine products that help anglers get more out of every trip.
