About the Inventor
I started out fishing in small streams and rivers for trout; learning how important stealth and presentation are. From there I went to fishing out of an old canoe, actually catching a King salmon while jigging in Lake Michigan….quite an experience having an eighteen pound salmon tow your canoe around. It was a solo effort having a lot of luck netting that fish while charter boats were watching. It was an experience I will never forget. After the canoe, I gradually upgraded to a couple of different sizes of small boats with motors.
I would take my son out fishing every spring for brown trout. On the slow days I would take the bait and use an erratic action on the lure thus improving our catch. It was in these moments part of the VersaTroll was born.
I now fish out of an 1850 Crestliner Sportfish with downriggers and some great electronics. Through testing I developed various VersaTroll designs, eventually creating an innovative fishing lure with different underwater camera capabilities as an added feature to view in real time or record and share later. Additionally, the VersaTroll can also be used as a fishing lure.
Moment Won, LLC was founded to launch the VersaTroll with other fishing/outdoor products to follow. My vision is to help people get all they can get out of their experience.
